‘may i have the pleasure’

8 limited edition multi layered screenprinted scrolls

Kozo 34gm Japanese paper
Each 90cm x 45cm
Available individually and as full series.

Using dance step terminology for 8 different dance genres, I laboriously alphabetised & hand typed them prior to screen printing with visual embossing. Each scroll has a word in colour flowing down the centre, which has further text relating to that dance genre. Thanks to the many dancers who I interviewed for the text. In the scroll ballet, the word pirouette has within it the names of famous ballets.  Exhibited Edinburgh Art Festival, Dancebase, 2010.
